B. Scott Sues BET For Discrimination!!!

Things are getting messy between B. Scott and BET!  The gay and transgender TV personality decided to sue BET and it's parent company Viacom network for $2.5 million for discrimination. This comes after BET ordered him to change out of his feminine clothing minutes before they went live for the 2013 BET Awards.

Anyone that knows B. Scott knows that he has an over the top personality and loves to dress in women's clothing. So when he was invited to the 2013 BET Awards as a Style Correspondent it's safe to assume that BET knew what the deal was, but that didn't stop the network from making him tone down his pumps and cute ensemble into a men's suit right before filming! They even made him pull his hair back and remove his makeup! The day after the show B. Scott took to his website to discuss how hurt he was that BET didn't accept him as he was:

"It’s not just about the fact that BET forced me to pull my hair back, asked me to take off my makeup, made me change my clothes and prevented me from wearing a heel. It’s more so that from the mentality and environment created by BET made me feel less than and that something was wrong with who I am as a person."

Even though BET has issued a statement apologizing to him B. Scott isn't having it! He wants a real public apology in addition to the $2.5 million in damages for alleged discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, breach of contract, wrongful termination in violation of public policy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
