|NEW VIDEO| J. Cole "Crooked Smile"

For the Sheldon Candis directed visuals for his single "Crooked Smile," J. Cole decides to use the visuals as a message to the government about innocent lives lost in the war on drugs.

In the video J. Cole plays a drug dealer who is celebrating his younger sister's birthday. However, things go terribly wrong when the DEA raids his home and accidental shoots and kills the young girl, while J. Cole watches helplessly.

The video is dedicated to 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones who was accidentally killed during a police raid in Detroit in 2010 for a taping of the crime show First 48. When asked what sparked him to change the visuals for his upbeat song to a powerful message J. Cole responded:

"I never forgot about this little girl Aiyana Stanley-Jones, I never forgot about her story when it happened a few years ago," he said. "I definitely wanted to dedicate this video to her and get more people to know about her story."

These visuals will definitely make you grab a few tissues and hug someone you love just a little bit tighter.
