Sanaa Lanthan Sparkles On The Cover Of Rolling Out Digital Magazine!!!

Sanaa Lathan has been one of our favorite actresses ever since she played Monica Wright in 'Love & Basketball.' Tell us she didn't steal your heart when she asked Omar Epps to play him for his heart?! Now the actress is starring in this year's most anticipated movie 'The Best Man Holiday' and we literally can't wait to see her light up the screen! The gorgeous actress is currently the cover girl for Rolling Out's Digital Magazine and is opening up about her Virgo personality, finally getting an Instagram, and  the hardest part about working on 'The Best Man Holiday.'

On people not knowing that she's funny:

"Yep, I'm really goofy and silly. Everyone in my life knows that, but I don't think that the public really knows that I like to have fun. I like to know, life is short, so it's all about having fun."

On finally getting an Instagram:

"Well, this is definitely a new thing for me. I was very resistant to social media at first, and actually just a couple months ago when I was on [The Best Man Holiday] set, I started having fun with it. At first, it was just a creative thing for me, and then I got encouraged by everyone from my agent to the studios, to keep it up. It's really interesting to me how involved social media can be from a business perspective, so I'm interested in exploring where it can go as it relates to my career."

On her role in the 'Best Man Holiday':

"Well, I play Robin, who is now married to Taye Digg's character, Harper, and we have been married for over 10 years now. She's a chef at a very fabulous restaurant in Harlem, and she's also nine months pregnant."

On playing a pregnant woman in the movie:

"It was really hard. They created a real prosthetic, where they molded the belly and made it very real for me. I had to wear it every day, and it was like a personal sauna. So, I feel like I was experiencing some of the problems that a real pregnant woman would feel, because I was dying of heat the entire time, and always needed a personal fan. I honestly think it helped me be more believable as a pregnant woman. "

On reconnecting with the cast after 14 years:

"We had so much fun. I mean, we're all kind of like family now. We kept in touch after the first movie, and I've done other movies with Taye. Regina Hall and I are best friends. Nia Long and I are great friends, so we just had a blast to the point where I think the director would occasionally get mad, because we were having too much fun between takes. But I think the genuine love for each other really translates to what you'll see, and feel with the movie. I honestly think that the people who loved the first movie will not be disappointed."

On her Virgo personality:

"Well, Virgo's are very down-to-earth. She's an earth mother, and is also very picky. So I'm very picky, and I'm a perfectionist to a fault. I'm also very critical...but Virgo's tend to be very critical  of others, and of the people around them--especially people that they love. But in the end, they're really the most critical of themselves, which pretty much sums me up."
