Show that special someone you love them this Valentine's Day with these delicious Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies from Sweet Pea's Kitchen


Red Velvet Layer
(1/2 cup) Unsalted butter
(2 oz) Dark chocolate, chopped
(1 cup) Sugar
(2 large) Eggs
(1 tsp) Vanilla extract
(1 1/2 tsp) Red food coloring
(2/3 cup) All purpose flour
(1/4 tsp) Salt

Cream Cheese Layer
(8 oz) Cream cheese, room temperature
(1/3 cup) Sugar
(1 large) Egg
(1/2 tsp) Vanilla extract


For the Red Velvet Layer
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Butter the bottom and sides of an 8 inch baking pan.
3. Place a long piece of parchment paper in the bottom of the pan. Butter the parchment paper.
4. Melt the butter and chocolate together. Stir until smooth and set aside to cool. 
5. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring. 
6. Add chocolate mixture and stir until smooth.
7. Add flour and salt and stir until well combined.
8. Pour into buttered pan and spread into an even layer.

For the Cream Cheese Layer
1. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
2. Distribute the cheesecake mixture in 8 dollops over mixture in the pan. 
3. Swirl with a knife or spatula.

1. Bake for 35-40 minutes until brownies and cheesecake are set.
2. Let cool completely before removing the parchment paper from the pan.
3. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
