Tamar Braxton and Adrienne Bailon are in full publicity mode for the re-release of their daytime talk show "The Real" (which also features Tamera Mowry-Housely, Jeannie Mai, and Loni Love). In their interview with The Breakfast Club the girls dish on relationships, what would happen if a man ever hit them, and how to preserve your edges!
On viewers going in on Tamar's edges on Braxton Family Values:
" First of all, I put that on the show because you have to remember it’s my show. I’m executive producer. So my whole thing is, I’m not ashamed of what happened to me during when I had Logan [Tamar’s Son]. When I had Logan, my hair fell out. That’s not a myth, it happened. But my hair came back, get your life."
On Tamar having martial issues:
"I mean we argue, yes. It’s a lot to argue about. Number one, we work together. Number two, he’s my husband. Number three, he’s my baby daddy and we have a lot to argue about. And the end of the day, that’s my best friend. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be here"
On if Tamar has change since becoming famous:
"Isn’t that the most hilarious thing ever? I don’t think I’ve changed one bit, I’ve been the same chick. I’ve been on TV for four years with two reality shows, and I’m the same chick. It’s ridiculous."
On Adrienne's relationship with former 3LW member Naturi Naughton:
"After you grow up and you look back, you’re just like all that for what? We were really young and it was more of a management issue than it actually was an issue with us girls."
On why it took so long to remover her "Rob Kardashian" tattoo and what her new boyfriend had to say about it:
"Honestly, I didn’t want it done wrong. You gotta remember, you got to find balance. Everyone comes into a relationship with different things. You gotta except what they coming with. Really? A tattoo? We take each other as we are."
On how Adrienne keeps it real with herself:
"I think doing a show like “The Real”, you have to be able to keep it real and be honest and open. That’s what I feel great about the show, is that all of us are very much like that. We’re all like open books. We’re down to talk about it. You ask, we’re gonna keep it real. It’s not always gonna be great, it’s not always gonna be perfect, but it’s gonna be honest. I feel like going into a show like that, you have to keep those doors open. "
On how Adrienne feels about finally telling the world who she's dating:
"Granted, we still like to be a private couple. I like to say there is a difference between being a secret and being private."
On Kim Kardashian making peace with Adrienne after bashing her on Twitter:
"For me…thank you, but that doesn’t validate to hear that, ‘Thank God I do have a good heart, I am sweet, thank the Lord!’ People that know me and that genuinely know me, know that I’ve been in this game for a long time. I’ve worked at this since I was 15 years old. I’ve put my time in. Seven years later they don’t hand out talk shows."
